Fred is a life long Houstonian. Shannon spent most of her childhood in a small South Texas town called Brackettville before moving to Oklahoma and then Houston. We married in 1980 and have four grown children ranging from 22 to 31 years old.
Like most people, we were always taught to go to school, get good grades, go to college and get a good job. Fred worked in civil engineering as an employee for most of his career while falling further and further behind financially. In today's economy there are ongoing mergers, acquisitions, and corporate downsizing that result in people losing jobs & income. While most people believe there is job security, some people know there is no such thing. We decided to take control, because you never know what tomorrow will bring. You can only control what you do today and the choices you make.
We tried for years to find a way to better our lives and financial security. We tried several businesses over the years ranging from a gold jewelry business, a personalized children book business and several multi-level marketing businesses with little to some success but nothing to write home about.
It was a near tragic event that allowed us to find Market America that has changed our lives and that of many others forever. My mother-in-law had a stroke while traveling and was immediately introduced to Isotonix OPC-3 which we believe helped with a miraculous recovery and exposed us to the company offering this unique product to consumers. Over the last several years with the decaying health of parents and the discovery of our youngest son having Type I diabetes, have expanded our interest and our attention to finding answers to health challenges.
We quickly established ourselves as leaders in the Houston area and for six years we lead the Houston area National Meeting, Training and Seminar System as Local Coordinators and Certified Trainers.
We have continued to devote much of our time to being a student of health and nutrition, personal growth and growing a business while teaching and helping others achieve the success they are looking for in their lives.
